Poetry X Development Log

About this Web Development Log

17 May 2003

The following log records the regular progress of Poetry X starting in May 2003. Much work had already been completed in May and June 2003 before I started this log on 2 July 2003, but I have e-mail messages where I'd tell a friend about my progress, so I've tried to go back and fill in as much of the history of the site as possible, usually by cutting and pasting. This way I'll have a record of what was done and when.

No one else probably cares about any of this. But maybe I'll post it online somewhere anyway. Lots of Deja vu right there. I could've sworn I wrote that exact sentence before, just like that. Maybe I did.

Most entries are on the side of simplicity and don't reflect the hours and hours and hours that I've spent building the site.

For example, the simple phrase "Compiled, configured, and installed the ht://Dig search engine." sounds simple enough, but represents about five hours work (the search engine installation, not typing the sentence regarding it).

All of these entries, except where indicated, were completed by site owner, webmaster, and one-man-army Jough Dempsey.
